The device allows for welding using the following methods:

symbol metody TIG DC LIFT ARCTIG DC lift-arc - with the TIG method, the electric arc is ignited under an inert gas (argon) shield, between the welded element and the non-fusible electrode made of pure tungsten or tungsten with additives. In the TIG lift-arc mode, the arc is ignited when the electrode comes into contact with the workpiece. In the TIG DC mode, the current is constant.

symbol metody TIG DC HFTIG DC HF - in order to completely eliminate the possibility of contaminating the joint with tungsten, it is recommended not to touch the workpiece with the electrode. To achieve this goal, contactless arc ignition with high-frequency discharges generated by the built-in ionizer is used.

ikona spawanie TIG DC pulse lift arcTIG DC PULSE lift-arc arc ignition occurs through contact of the electrode with the workpiece. The pulse function allows the welding of thin components through periodic current changes.

ikona spawanie TIG DC pulse HFTIG DC PULSE HF - HF contactless ignition with the ionizer takes place in the TIG DC PULSE mode.

symbol metody TIG AC LIFT ARCTIG AC lift-arc - a function that enables aluminium welding with an alternating current, which performs the function of cathodic cleaning in the aluminium welding process. Thanks to the AC BALANCE parameter setting, it is possible to adjust the ratio of the duration of mutual phases.

symbol metody TIG AC HFTIG AC HF - a similar function enabling aluminium welding with an alternating current. Arc ignition occurs without contact, due to the high-frequency current generated by the ionizer.

ikona spawanie TIG AC pulse lift arc TIG AC PULSE lift-arc - this welding process utilises the combination of an alternating current and pulses, allowing very thin aluminium elements to be welded. The arc is ignited by contact of the electrode with the workpiece.

symbol metody TIG AC PULSE HFTIG AC PULSE HF - a function enabling thin elements made from aluminium to be welded. Non-contact ignition occurs through the use of the ionizer.

symbol metody TIG ACDCTIG AC + DC - the ADVANCED AC function enables AC/DC mixed welding. There is a transition between AC and DC of negative DC polarity (-) in a single welding cycle. This cycle is repeated throughout the entire welding process. Mixed current welding is especially useful when joining parts of different thickness, and noise emissions are also reduced compared to conventional AC welding.

symbol metody TIG Cold Welding

TIG COLD WELDING - the function generates high-power welding arc discharges in a very short time (up to 0.001s). This makes possible to connect welded elements without the addition of a binder. The COLD WELDING function is especially useful when connecting elements with a thickness of less than 1mm, surfacing edges and wherever it is important to heat the welded elements as little as possible.

symbol metody TIG Spot

TIG SPOT TIG SPOT welding is used for joining overlapping (tacking) thin metal sheets (up to 1.5 mm, with drilling up to 5mm holes - hole-point joint) of steel and alloy steel, as well as for joining sheets before butt welding. The method involves introducing a short heat pulse (0.1-4 s), during which the surface of the sheet metal which is affected by the electric arc is melted and welded to the sheet directly below it.

symbol metody MMA DC+ MMA DC+ - coated electrode welding method, where the electrode is comprised of a metal core covered with a special coating. An electric arc is maintained between the end of the electrode and the workpiece. The arc is ignited by touching the workpiece with the tip of the electrode. MMA DC+ involves welding with positive polarity, and as a result more heat is generated in the material and less on the electrode.

symbol metody MMA DC-MMA DC- - the difference compared to MMA DC+ is that the polarity in the MMA DC- mode is negative, so the heat distribution is inverted, resulting in more heat being generated on the electrode and less in the welded material.

symbol metody MMA VRD DC+MMA VRD DC+ - the VRD (Voltage Reduction Device) function available in MMA mode is a module that reduces the quiescent (no-load) voltage of the secondary circuit of the welding machine. This function increases safety and reduces the risk of electric shock. The VRD function turns the welding power off and on when the resistance between the electrode and the welded workpiece is measured during welding.

symbol metody MMA VRD DC-MMA VRD DC- - available in the MMA DC- mode, the VRD (Voltage Reduction Device) function works in the same way as with MMA VRD DC+, with the only difference being the negative polarity.

PANEL FUNCTIONS:

- Possibility to use user-programmed factory settings for welding aluminium and steel (60 memory channels).

- Waveform selection:

symbol ksztaltu fali advanced squareADVANCED SQUARE - the rectangular shape of the AC wave allows for welding of aluminium alloys containing magnesium,

symbol ksztaltu fali soft squareSOFT SQUARE - the trapezoidal shape of the AC wave allows for welding of aluminium alloys containing silicon,

symbol ksztaltu fali triangularTRIANGULAR - the triangular current wave setting is optimal for welding thin components, including anodized aluminium,

symbol ksztaltu fali sine SINE - the sinusoidal waveform is recommended for welding 99.999% pure aluminium.

- AC/DC EASY SETUP - pre-programmed factory settings.

- NORMAL SETUP - welding parameters adapted to individual needs.

- SPOT TIG SPOT welding is used for joining overlapping (tacking) thin metal sheets (up to 1.5 mm, with drilling up to 5mm holes - hole-point joint) of steel and alloy steel, as well as for joining sheets before butt welding. The method involves introducing a short heat pulse (0.1-4 s), during which the surface of the sheet metal which is affected by the electric arc is melted and welded to the sheet directly below it.

- PULSE TAC – provides an efficient way of joining thin sheets while maintaining a small amount of heat input, which significantly reduces material distortion. The high frequency of the pulsating current allows the weld pool to be formed very quickly, creating an immediately tacky joint. In this mode, it is possible to initially join the welded elements with a series of short welds, thus enabling preliminary positioning of the welded parts in relation to one another.

ELECTRODE ROUNDING – allows the arc to ignite for a short time in order to melt the tip of the sharpened electrode and form a rounded end. The rounded tip of the electrode prevents the welding arc from wandering, which can be caused by the improper preparation of the non-fusible electrode. An additional advantage of using the electrode rounding mode is the greater depth of penetration it achieves.

- HOT START - a function that increases the current when the arc ignites, facilitating the start-up of the welding operation.

- ARC FORCE - regulation of the current when there is a short-circuit. It means that any shortening of the arc length is accompanied by an increase in the welding current, helping to stabilise the arc regardless of any fluctuations in length.

- HF - the device is equipped with an ionizer that allows for contactless arc ignition.

- PRE i POST GAS - regulation of the shielding gas outflow time before welding start-up and after welding completion.

- UP i DOWN SLOPE - the rise and fall of the welding current.

- PULSE - pulse welding mode.

- VRD - (Voltage Reduction Device) – reduces the no-load voltage in the secondary circuit of the device. This function increases safety and reduces the risk of electric shock.

- PFC - (Power Factor Correction) – increases the power factor to a value as close to 100% as possible, in order to reduce power losses in transmission lines.

- 2-CYCLE and 4-CYCLE,
- contactless HF ignition, and through LIFT rubbing,
- possibility to connect a remote control, e.g. control pedal, gun equipped with a potentiometer,
- dual-function ADJUST knob (coarse and fine adjustment),
- and others described in the operating instructions.
