MIG Brazing Wire CuSi3 0.8x5kg
Item internal code: DLU.55
Description:
A specialised welding wire designed for joining galvanised sheets, copper to steel, as well as copper and copper–silicon alloys. It is predominantly employed in the automotive industry and in the manufacture of ventilation systems and containers. The principal advantage of braze welding lies in the corrosion protection it affords to the joined components. Owing to the lower process temperature, the risk of damaging or burning off the zinc coating is significantly reduced, while the CuSi3 wire itself remains highly resistant to corrosion. Argon is used as the shielding gas.
Recommended shielding gases:
- For welding: pure argon
- For brazing: argon with 1% O₂
Applications:
- Car body manufacturing
- Joining galvanised steel sheets
- Surfacing of low-alloy steels
- Surfacing of unalloyed steels
- Cast iron
Technical specifications:
- Wire diameter: 0.8 mm
- Weight: 5 kg
- Outer spool diameter: 200 mm
- Inner bore / spindle diameter: 50 mm
