Description:
Red dye penetrant for crack test without damages.
- • speciem tested according to DIN EN ISO 3452-2,
- • low sulphur and halogen cencentration according to DIN EN ISO 3452-2 and meets the requirements of the ASME-code, section V, article 6.
Application Range:
- • Suitable for ferrous and non-ferrous metal. Suitability for plastics has to be tested in advance.
Application:
- 1. Clean parts thoroughly from grease, oil or other contaminants with OPN-Special Cleaner and let them dry. The cracks have to be open to the surface.
- 2. Apply OPN-Crack Testing Agent Red on the surface and let it react for about 5-10 minutes.
- 3. Remove excess dye penetrant, either by rinsing the surface with water or by using a slightly moistened cloth with OPN-Special Cleaner. Then dry the surface.
- 4. Spray OPN-Developer White thinly from a distance of about 20 cm. Too much developer can hide fine cracks! Cracks are shown as red lines, the final evaluation can be made after about 5 - 10 minutes.
- 5. OPN-Special Cleaner can be used for cleaning again.
